What is a CSA?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. Think of it like a membership to a farm. The community (you) partners with the farm (us) to grow food for them. Both the community and the farm reap the benefits of bountiful harvests and awesome growing seasons but they also understand and assume the risk of weather changes, pest pressure, etc. just as if it was in your own backyard.

Fresh Veggies

You want a variation in vegetables that are bursting with flavor; Vegetables harvested within a couple of days so they stay fresh and last longer when you bring them home!

Garden

You WANT to garden and have straight-off-the-vine fresh produce for yourself; you day dream about it. But something's holding you back from actually doing it...time, work, adequate spacing...that you just can't seem to get it started.

Connection

You want your family to be involved, connected, and sustainably aware. You want them to know where food SHOULD come from and for them to feel how awesome it is to be a part of something bigger than themselves.

If only there were a place where you could get fresh food, grown with respect, dignity, and pride...

and you could be proud to say it was your own even though life holds you back from actually doing it yourself.

Hi there! We're Becky & Pete Tamez

We’re Becky & Pete. We’re the owners/farmers of Isle Acre Farms, a 6-acre farm located in Liberty Hill, TX. In 2015, we were just like you! We were tired of the way the agriculture system was going. We knew then that adding tons of chemicals and destroying the soil was not sustainable for the Earth. We wanted something different for our family and the community...a place where food can change and connect others.

We felt led to start a farm supported by the community because we knew that there were people out there just like us...who wanted fresh veggies, to know what’s put on them, and to have a connection with the farm that’s growing them.

At IAF we use no chemicals on the produce. Outside of a little dirt, you’re free to eat the veggies right off the plant! We only add organic compost & micro life to feed our plants making them luscious and fruitful. We don't till the soil allowing organic microbes & organisms to do their thing...naturally. We strive to be resilient, regenerative, and sustainable as possible.

We’re living the farm lifestyle and we want to share it with you in our Fall 2023 CSA program.

Fall 2023 CSA

A 3 month community led personal farmer experience where you get organically grown, fresh veggies (weekly or biweekly) and be a part of the farm lifestyle.

HERE'S WHAT'S INCLUDED:

3 months (September-November) of organically grown, farm-fresh veggies: You will get 5-10 veggies each week you pick up

CSA member only group: We're doing this on Mighty Networks...so if you don't do Facebook, that's A OK! Share recipes, pictures, and fun times on the farm right here in this private group!

Member-only once a month volunteer days: Bring the family out (all ages) to enjoy a day of working on the farm, getting your hands dirty, and learning what it's like to take care of your food!

Weekly recipes/healthy living tips: Put your Gordan Ramsey skills to the test and get busy in the kitchen learning new ways of eating your veggies!

Bring your compostable materials! We will compost it for you and add it to the grow beds on the farm making it more regenerative and sustainable!

Member-only end of the season cookout! We'll join Chef Brandon in a fun family event of bbq'ing on the farm with farm fresh veggies! (Price TBD)

How it Works

Choose weekly or biweekly pick ups

Once a week pick up is geared towards larger familys of 5-6 people or those with a vegetable forward diet. Biweekly (every other week) is good for 2-4 people.

Choose your pick up location

We would love to see everyone come out to the farm in Liberty Hill on Tuesdays from 4-6pm. You get to see your produce grow each week and feel even more connected to it! You'll get 5% off if you choose Liberty Hill. However, we will have a Leander pickup location available on Wednesdays from 5-6pm.

After you join, you'll get an email going through all the details to get you up and started. We want you to love every minute of your membership and we start by getting you off on the right foot!

FAQs

What vegetables are planned for the fall?

These will not all be available at the same time...throughout the season you will see tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, ground cherries, bottle gourd, salad mix, radishes, carrots, lettuce, bok choy, Swiss chard, green beans, cucumbers, and more!

What happens if I miss a week?

If you plan to miss please let us know. You can send someone in your stead or we will work with you the best we can. However, if you miss without notification, unfortunately your share will be donated. We calculate everything on the farm and to be fair to other members and to save storage space, we cannot hold your share.

What is your cancellation policy?

Every contribution goes right back into the farm, whether that be buying more seeds or equipment or paying for the farm itself. With that being said, all sales are final. However, if you need to cancel, we will try our hardest to fill your spot and accommodate you as much as possible.

What are the pick up days and times?

Do you offer a payment plan?

Yes! We do offer a 3 month payment plan! You can choose that in the checkout section.
